User Experience Designer

As a UX Designer, you will work with our Product Management and Engineering teams to create a UX vision for our product, identify areas for improvement, model user workflows, prototype new designs, and deliver an elegant software experience for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in user testing sessions and interviewing clients
  • Evaluating existing user experiences and identifying areas for improvement
  • Researching UI design and development techniques to find innovative and elegant solutions to complex UI problems
  • Designing application user interfaces and interactions
  • Creating and maintaining a robust product style guide
  • Creating UI resources such as flows, wireframes, and prototype mockups
  • Testing user interfaces to ensure proper implementation and usability
  • Ensuring designs created are WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliant

In everything that you do, you will need to be sharp, quick, and consistent. You will need to take stated requirements, identify the users' real root problems, and design UIs that solve them. You will need to consider user personas and use cases and articulate why some design choices are better than others.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years applied experience in user interface or experience design
  • Demonstrable understanding of visual and user interface design
  • Proficiency with UI design tools like Photoshop or Sketch
  • Experience communicating design to an Engineering team
  • Critical eye for attention to detail and pixel perfection
  • Strong sense of composition, typography and color
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to express opinions on design direction
  • Experience leading user testing feedback sessions
  • Strong understanding of user experience workflows and interaction design
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Web Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
